Stockton Trojans are back!

Owner Marty Santini and his Stockton Trojans are back after a year off to take on a new league. After spending their first three seasons of existance with the now defunct NCAFF (Northern California Amateur Football Federation) the team will now compete in the NCFL(Northern California Football League).

As members of the NCAFF, the Trojans went on to claim three division championships and a trip to the NCAFF Championship game. All told, the Trojans accumulated a 21-2-1 record including two undefeated seasons.

Due to health problems, Coach Santini was forced to put the team on hold for the 2009 season, but thanks in large part to the urging of his players and his overwhelming love of the game, Santini once again decided to put a team back out on the field.

Both Coaches and players look forward to competing in the NCFL where they will play in the American Conference alongside teams like the Eastbay Outlaws, the Bay Valley Xpress and theNorthbay Rattlers who are nationally ranked #1 by the MLFN (Minor League Football News).

Delta Mustangs look for win in home opener

The Delta Collge Mustangs are set to take on the Eagle of the College of the Siskiyous today in their first home game of the 2009 season. Delta comes back to DeRicco Field after a tough loss to Modesto Junior College 26-13 in their season opener. Sophmore quarterbak Pete Murdaca will look to resurect the Mustangs once potenet passing attack which was held to only 163 yards against the Pirates. Siskiyous comes to Stockton by way of a 33-7 win over Redwoods. The Eagles exploded offensively for 544 yards in total offense. Today's game will be broadcast live thanks to www.deltacollege.com. Log on at 12:30pm to catch the Pregame show presented by Podcast Stockton. Kick-off at 1:00pm.
